Placement Prefix - xcore vs dps

We have created a few placements (in the same sandbox/environment) for the same channel (web) and same content type (text). But some placements have prefix: 'dps:offer-placement:' whereas some have 'xcore:offer-placement:'

Can someone explain why the prefixes are different?

It was part of the deprecation of the legacy api's. Kindly reach out to your adobe representative for further details.

Take a look at this link
https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/journey-optimizer/using/decisioning/offer-decisioning/api-reference/offers-api/legacy-api/about-legacy-apis which talks about the updates to API's for decisioning management objects. Objects that were recently created should have the dps prefix and the older ones with xcore prefix.

Thank you @mohan_dugganab - this article only mentions that legacy APIs will be deprecated. Do you have the link to the documentation where it says the prefix will be updated from xcore to dps?
