Event based journey - is email attribute required in event payload?

Is it possible to send email based on the journey if the profile of the journey is ECID? Or if we want to make event based journey we must add email as an attribute and based on that journey?

I noticed that if I do not pass email as a parameter in event emails are not send even though ECID matches with profile which already has an email.

@Michael_Soprano  Can you share the screenshot of the event configuration once you have set it up on the journey.

Also, a screenshot of the email field from your profile schema clearly showing the Primary identity as well.

Screenshot of Execution fields from Administration > Channels > Execution fields

Screenshot of Email activity on your journey to confirm if the path for email field has not been overridden in it.

Hello @Michael_Soprano Can you please elaborate your requirement? I am trying to understand if there is a race condition here.

Hey Michael! You should be able to utilize the email off of the profile instead of the event. On your journey canvas, make sure that the email parameter for the address is pointed to the profile attribute, not the contextual email off of the event. As long as it is, you should be able to leverage the email off of the profile for any qualified profiles flowing through!
