Does AJO exclude choice value = n by default?

When deploying an email campaign, does AJO exclude any profile that has choice value = n by default? Or does the user need to specify that in the audience criteria? For example... if I want to send an email to anyone that is opted in and who is in the state of California, do I need to specify the opt in requirement in the audience? Or will AJO exclude opt outs (choice value = N) by default?

Just to clarify. this works only if you're using ootb consent and preferences.

If you setup the Email type as marketing in the channel configuration then the opted out will be automatically excluded at the email execution.

If the email type is transactional then the opted out will not be excluded.

Thanks,

David

@brandonfa6 AJO will automatically exclude the profiles with email consent choice value = n. At the same time consider this call out "By default, the value for the consent field is empty and treated as consent to receive your communications. "

Thanks - I also confirmed this with a test journey deployment. I created an audience of 1 profile with Choice Value = n and it was not sent the email. In the report it shows 1 excluded for No Consent.

Appreciate the help!
