Hello all,
I'm facing an issue in Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) related to consent logging when customers submit a landing page form created in Visual Designer mode.
Current Setup:
* I built a landing page using AJO’s Visual Designer.
* The form displays 8 subscription lists as checkboxes:
* 6 are older subscription lists used in previous campaigns (which worked as expected before)
* 2 are newly created subscription lists
* Upon checkbox selection and saving preferences from the front end, the form is expected to:
1. Update the customer profile - works
2. Add/remove the selected subscription lists - works
3. Log a consent event in the Consent and Preference dataset - doesn't work
Problems Observed:
Test 1 (New Subscription Lists):
* Selecting and submitting new subscription list checkboxes:
* Profile and subscription list updated
* Consent and Preference dataset not updated
Test 2 (Old Subscription Lists):
* To isolate the issue, I tested again using one of the older subscription lists (which previously worked).
* Same result: profile and list updated
* No consent event logged
This suggests that not just new lists, but also the previously working subscription lists are now failing to log consent — possibly due to changes in schema, platform behavior, or form logic.
Additional Context:
* The form is built entirely in Visual Designer, not custom HTML or Web SDK.
* There is no field binding or schema mapping UI visible for checkboxes in the Visual Designer.
* Previously, we never had to manually link subscription lists to consent fields — consent logging just worked automatically with the older lists.
* Now, it seems none of the lists (old or new) log consent events.
Questions:
1. Why do none of the subscription list selections — including previously working ones — trigger logging in the Consent and Preference dataset anymore?
2. Is there a known change in AJO or AEP that affects how subscription list selections log consent events?
3. How can we ensure new and existing subscription lists correctly log consent updates in the dataset?
4. Is there a way to confirm whether our form’s XDM schema includes xdm.consents fields or is set up for consent tracking?
Any insights or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
Zoe

@Zoe_G TBH it will require looking into the designer form and subscription list which will be bit difficult to do it here, can you log a support case with your sandbox details and let our support team take a look into it,

Sure, thank you Mayank!
Hi @Zoe_G,
Since there hasn’t been any recent activity on this thread and as suggested by @Mayank_Gandhi, this use case should be addressed with the help of Adobe Support, so, we’ll be closing this question for now.
If you have any related questions or updates to share, please don’t hesitate to request to reopen this one or start a new thread. We’d be happy to take another look.
Thanks!
