Atypical clicks data for all Email and Social links

Avatar

Hi Team, We have observed in one of our journey email clicks data all the email links and social links have the same number of unique clicks over a period of 1 month (PFA data). What could be the reason behind this ? or is it a glitch ?

@HardikJa3 I recommend looking through the Email Tracking Experience Event Dataset via query service tracking dataset to figure out where these click data coming from or else look at the CJA to figure out the sources.

Thanks, Sathees

Hi @HardikJa3 ,

Live Email Report, the unique clicks column does not show per‐link uniques - it shows the number of distinct recipients who clicked any link in the message. Because it’s a message-level metric, every tracked URL in that email will display the same unique clicks total (i.e. the total distinct clickers), which explains why your email and social icons all show identical numbers.

Hey Ankit, Thanks for the reply but as you can see in the attached image, all the link belong to the same email and there are certain deviation in the numbers, like 62 - 58 - 57 and for the first four links the number of unique clicks is significantly higher.. As per your solution the number of unique clicks should have been the same across all the links then.
