AJO stand alone to send Emails

Avatar

Hi,

Can we run AJO standalone without AEP-CDP module to send emails by uploading records via CSV file and creating custom audiences?

for starting phase, we need to just start with AJO, and later phases plug in CDP. I know it's not recommended approach, just want to know any options.

@Balraj_Maskale I don't think you can have AJO on its own without AEP. I recommend getting in touch with your CSM (Customer Success Manager) or TAM (Technical Account Manager) at Adobe before you make any decisions.

Thanks, Sathees

Hi @SatheeskannaK , yes you are right, AJO cannot be run without AEP foundations, Thanks for the response, while I go through the below link found out that AJO cannot be run as standalone platform, however it can run as standalone application without RT-CDP as AEP foundation will have required services for data.

https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/journey-optimizer/using/get-started/get-started#:~:text=T....

"The core functionality and services of Journey Optimizer operate off the foundational components of Adobe Experience Platform, which includes the Real-Time Customer Profile. While Journey Optimizer works seamlessly and is interoperable with Real- Time CDP and Customer Journey Analytics, it can also function independently as a standalone application."

@Balraj_Maskale Absolutely, you're right. AEP serves as the data foundation, and you can build an AJO application on top of it. I'm not sure how much that will help when it comes to activating messages for audiences created with CSV. There are a few things to keep in mind: any audience made with CSV is only available for 30 days. Plus, it might include PII data, so be careful when handling that data through CSV. Consider your future data strategy and possible use cases before deciding if AJO can be standalone along with AEP. That's why I suggested reaching out to discuss this with your Adobe TAM/CSM to make a decision.
