Performance "EBR dataelementchanged" vs. "DCR"

Does anyone has experience with an EBR "Data Element Monitoring"?

In theory we want to track a whole SPA just with EBRs dataelementchanged. In the documentation is a passage saying "Be conservative in the number of dataelementchanged event types that are referenced on a single page. Although the monitoring is efficient, large numbers of evaluations could impact page performance."

Is it worse then tracking all with DCR?

I've got a lot dataelementchanged and pushState rules in place for our SPA with no noticeable impact, think if you're responsible and savvy you shouldn't have any issues.
