Which Decisioning Method we should opt for when migrating to Target V2 Extension?

Currently we are using at.js (v1.8), we plan on migrating to Target V2 version and what should be the decision method to be selected ? As we are currently using client side if making this to Server-side will it impact any of the existing activities?
