Target certification differences

Can someone please explain the differences in these certifications (other than experience level outlined here https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/certification/program/technical-certifications/at/at-overview)

 

Adobe Target Business Practitioner Professional

Adobe Target Business Practitioner Expert

Adobe Target Architect Master

Adobe Target Optimization Specialist Credential

Here are some key differences between these certifications other than experience levels: 

Adobe Target Business Practitioner Professional :

  • Exam format: 50 multiple choice items
  • Time allotted to complete the exam: 100 minutes 
  • Registration fee: $125 USD
  • Passing score:31/50, or 62%
  • Badge Provided: Professional Badge

Adobe Target Business Practitioner Expert :

  • Exam format: 68 multiple choice items
  • Time allotted to complete the exam: 136 minutes 
  • Registration fee: $225 USD
  • Passing score:46/68, or 67%
  • Badge Provided: Expert Badge

Adobe Target Architect Master :

  • Exam format: 50 multiple choice items
  • Time allotted to complete the exam: 100 minutes 
  • Registration fee: $225 USD
  • Passing score:32/50, or 64%
  • Badge Provided: Master Badge

Adobe Target Optimization Specialist Credential Exam :

  • Exam format: 70 multiple choice items
  • Time allotted to complete the exam: 90 minutes 
  • Registration fee: $225 USD
  • Passing score: 50/70, or 71%
  • Badge Provided: Qualified Badge

Note: All these certifications also have key differences in objectives and scopes covered on the basis of the difficulty level of the certification. Would encourage you to go through the objectives and scopes section of all these certifications to understand more detailed differences in the topics covered.

    This is definitely confusing since Adobe Target Optimization Specialist Credential Exam isn't mentioned on this page - https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/certification/program/technical-certifications/at/at-overview.

     

    Do you know if all exams will be available at Summit?

    @ajasullivan in its simplest form let's take the difference between BP and Architect (i'm not familiar with Optimization Specialist Exam).

    BP is focused on user of the solution and questions evolve around how you would configure tests, how you would evaluate potential tests, evaluate the result from the tests, which test you would use in certain scenarios. So basically everything you as an end-user would run into in the 'real world'.

    Architect is a more technical exam focused on the implementation and integrations towards third party and other adobe solutions.

    If you're working on the client side then 9 out of 10 times the BP will be the one that makes the most sense for you. Whether it is Professional or Expert depends on your experience.

     

    If you're on the agency side you can, as a company, achieve a Target Specialization. In order to achieve this, it requires that you have 6 BPs and 4 Architects Certification within your company/agency. In this case the BPs are required to be the Expert and not the Professional. So here it matters. But as an individual not in an agency I don't see a big reason for taken one over the other - then it comes down to how many years of experience you have with the solution.
