Same entity.id with different attributes across site section

I am trying to create recommendation based on current product's entity.contentType parameter. The contentType value varied by site language e.g. English, French etc. The catalog is getting replaced by the recently visited product since the entity.id is unique across these site sections.

The solution I could try is capturing product with these site section e.g. 1234EN, 1234FR, but this will affect the Analytics Reports and order page.

Can anyone please help me to achieve this implementation and share the pros and cons.

You have a few options here:

Option 1: Entities are built by environment, so the same entity ID can exist with different values if they are different environments. If the different language sites are separate URLs and can be grouped into different environments (like an English site and a French site), it may be an option. Consider that changing HOST/Environments is for all aspects of Target - and so could have other implications and needs to be thoroughly investigated. Option 2: As you mentioned, having different entity.IDs per language can keep them separate in the same broader environment, but does have other implications and may require some custom analytics work to merge them back together in reporting in Adobe Analytics

Option 3: Use a single entity ID in a single environment, but have a few extra custom entity parameter fields like entity.name and entity.name_fr - then you can use the Velocity template scripting language to decide what language to present at any point based on a visitors current language context
