Recommendations criteria and properties

Hi all, we have a couple of web-sites under our Adobe Target tenant. We use properties (and workspaces) to manage activities belonging to these web-sites.

We have Recommendations setup and both websites and entities-data is sent along with corresponding property-identifiers. 

Question: Do properties play any role when Recommendations algorithms are evaluated? I am trying to understand whether the entity-data collected within a property may impact the recommendations-algorithms in another property that belongs to same tenant.
