Profile Script : Get Param value from referringURL

Want to get the param value from the referringURL. Can anybody advise me on this?

We get page param value like this page.param(paramName). How do we get the "paramName" if it is present in referringurl?

I believe you can use:

referrer.param('some_parameter');
