MVT | content location & impact

Avatar

Level 1

Background

We launched a new page template that consist of content bands i.e. one row for the hero image, one row for a tool, one row for something else but didnt test the content prior to launching .  Because we didnt test into this, our content and it's impact is mostly unknown.  We would like to use an MVT to identify which content is most important and in what location.  So 4 locations with, 4 versions.

Current Setup

We setup 4 html offers that consist of the default code of each of the 4 sections.  We identified each location and added the 4 offers to each of the 4 locations.

Problem

Because each location consist of the same 4 things in each place, we can end up with variations that consist of up to 4 duplicate offers.  How can we setup a test to say, if this offer is present in another location, exclude that variation (without going one by one).

There are two options:

Option1: Target Premium with access to AP (Automated Personalization) (Target activity types )

Option2: Manually set up the 24 permutations required as 24 individual A/B Experiences here are all of the possible combinations (https://goodcalculators.com/combinations-permutations-calculator/ )
