Importing audience segments to Adobe Target from Salesforce data cloud via Boomi technology

Our client wants to use Salesforce CDP audience segments in Adobe Target to build experimentation and personalization activities for their website. The integration between Salesforce data cloud and Adobe Target will be facilitated by Boomi technology. The CMS they are using is AEM. My questions are:

  • How does the integration between Salesforce data cloud and Adobe Target works via Boomi? Is there any configuration to be done from Adobe Target side?
  • Also, once the audience segments are pushed to Adobe Target from Salesforce data cloud, where exactly the segments will be present. Will I be able  see them directly in the AT Audience library same as we see the audiences imported from Adobe Experience Cloud or we will see them in attributes like visitor profile, custom audience?

Hi @noopurgupta Yes, certainly you can integrate Salesforce data into Adobe Target. 

 

I'm not experienced with boomi technology but just did google and seems like it's a integration platform so I think in this use case it's acts as middleware to extract data from Salesforce cloud and then push to Adobe Target. Is my understanding correct? 

So I think you have few options:

1. Inject profile data from Salesforce CDP into Target using Customer Attributes or Bulk Profile Update API and using ECID service, attach CRM id (or Customer ID) to the user profile for targeting.

2. Use Data Providers to make an API call to CRM and fetch data in profile parameters and then create audiences in Target accordingly.

 

Once the data available into Target, you can able to see segments into Visitor Profile section.

Please check the appropriate options for your use case with boomi technology and then we can discuss deeper at solution side.
