Impact on Page Performance if more Recommendations are shown

Avatar

Hi Team,

We are planning to recommend 20+ products in recommendation using carousel so wanted to check if more recommended products would have any impact on the page performance?

Thank you.

Hi @ambikaTewari_ATCI,
of course it always depends on how much data there is and how the data is loaded. If all data is already stored in the markup - this is of course different than if a carousel only loads content per slide per ID's accordingly. Of course, this also depends on how the carousel works or is programmed.

Basically, it always has an impact when more data is loaded - the only question is whether it really makes that much difference, or whether it is rather marginal.

What you can do is to test it in the developer tools - how much the average impact is.
