Best practices related to Traffic Allocation update

Hi there,

 

Is there any best practice for updating the traffic allocation for a live activity?

I know that It can be done easily and the new traffic allocation will have an impact on the numbers in the Report. Thus, the analysis should be done by keeping this update in mind. Other than this, is there anything else I should be aware of?

If you want to change the audience allocation in middle(Example: 50:50 to 70:30), you can do it, make sure you are selecting the correct date ranges while looking at the activity performances. Choose the start date as the date which you changed(70:30) the audience allocation and compare this with the previous period where you kept the different audience allocation.

 

In my opinion, changing the audience allocation after the experience went live is something not good, not sure what is the purpose behind it.

 

I would suggest the create one more AB Test Experience with the new allocation ratio and compare it with the older AB Test activity.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. This change came from the business, they realized that showing the challenger to a 50% audience can impact some specific KPIs. Thus, they requested to change it to 30% for the LIVE Test.

I have experienced this earlier as well. So, I was just a little curious to know the other implications of this.
