Adobe Target for Internal Site

Hi,

Is Adobe Target supported on an internal facing site(intranet)? If yes, what are the prerequisites and does it work well with on-prem AEM?

We currently have on-prem AEM and will be moving to Adobe Managed Services in coming months.
