New Editor+ user role

Currently there are three user roles available in Adobe Target (see below)

It would be useful is to have a fourth, essentially Editor+ to allow users to create, edit and stop activities - but not activate new ones.

This would allow us to give more people such as our IT support function, or users in different time zones access to pause activities in case of problems that may arise out of the optimisation team hours, it would also ensure new users can get to grips with the platform, but can't inadvertently push tests Live without necessary internal sign offs.

RoleDescription

Observer

Can view activities, but cannot create or edit them.

Editor

Can create and edit activities before they are live, but cannot approve the launch of an activity.

Approver

Can create, edit, and activate or stop activities.

Chris,

The current Editor role is the closest to what you want to accomplish. Please help us understand the feature request a little better is this summary accurate:

"Limited Editor" (Can start/stop existing activities) but can't start/stop "new ones" (activities which are started after the day on which that user was created?)

Hi Mike,

Just to clarify, the Editor role cannot currently stop an activity?

Not quite - it would be useful to have a role that allows users to Create, Edit and Stop an activity, but not Start any activity.

This would allow us to give users in different time zones the ability to pause activities in case any problems arise out of the core optimisation team hours, whilst ensuring there is no risk of unapproved Activities going Live.

Thanks,

Chris

Chris,

Ok so for your specific business need you are looking for something like this. A role that would fit between Editor and Approver.

Deactivator: Create, Edit & De-activate.

Is that accurate?chrisl92739620

If it will let you make sure to vote for your own idea. You might be able to do that form the very top of this page where it shows the number and up-arrow/down-arrows. If you press on the up-arrow it should add another vote up. Thank you!
