Schemas and IdentityMap Namespaces

I have created an experience schema. That schema has an "identityMap" field group in it, by default. I can't expand identityMap field group. So how do I get ECID as a namespace? It is configured under identities. When I make a connection to CJA and select IdentityMap, under the namespace select, there isn't any options to select, i just have "identityMap(<primary>)"

Thanks!

Hi @michaeljo13

If you want to capture ECID in a separate field other than identity map you have to create it first in the schema and then explicitly set ECID into the field using a rule or data prep.

check this article for more details.

That wasn't the issue. There must have been an issue with CJA connection creation. At first, when creating a connection and setting person ID, when I'd select identityMap it didn't give me any options in the dropdown, other tahn <primary>? The following wek when I tried it, I got all the options in the dropdown!?!?

To resolve this issue, check if the identityMap field group is properly configured in your experience schema. If it’s not expanding or showing additional namespaces, ensure that the ECID is correctly set up under the "identities" section. The absence of selectable options might be due to missing configurations or permissions. If the "identityMap(<primary>)" is the only option, verify that the schema includes the necessary identity definitions and mappings for the ECID. You may also need to sync or refresh your connection to CJA for updated namespace options to appear.
