Avatar

Hi,

After a dataset deletion would it be possible to recover the information of the records inside with the processing duration of the records that were present in the dataflow? Maybe with API?

Thanks

Hello @user36079 ,

If you delete data via the UI, I don’t think you can access the records anymore. The platform performs a soft delete immediately, so the service still has access to the data for a short period.

For more information, please refer to the documentation:

https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-platform/catalog/datasets/user-guide#delete

Once you delete a dataset, its information and metadata are also removed from the Catalog service.
Further details can be found here:

https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-platform/catalog/home

If there’s no information about the dataset in the Catalog service and the records are soft-deleted, the data may still exist in the Data Lake at a physical level during processing. However, it cannot be accessed.

Best regards,
Parvesh
