Pinterest OAuth Token Auto Refresh Mechanism Suggestions

Hello Everyone,

For AEP Destination,

Pinterest tokens expire every 30 days. Once the token is expired, data exports to the destination stop working. To prevent this situation, reauthenticate by performing the following steps:

https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-platform/destinations/catalog/advertising/pinterest

This is a manual step, has anyone tried to automate this process? Does anyone has used API with DAG to automate? What API is used from destination authoring?

Thanks,

Saurabh

You need to look at: Flow service > Collection in the same collection

  1. If you do not know the base connection id, then get all the base connections and find yours here
  2. Get single base connection detail here
  3. I do not have Pinterest, so I am checking Marketo connection in my sandbox. It has the authentication parameter under "auth" tag
  4. You can use the patch request to update
  5. Also, I can see a Test connection in the same collection

P.S. - I have not tested updating, so please try in lower environment first!
