No connectivity impact on eCID

Hi, All! My team is working on upgrading the Adobe Mobile SDK and had the following questions regarding the ecid service.

Need to understand how the ecid process works and the impact of no connectivity (this often happens at Royal on our ships) :
  • If the app opens for the first time with no internet connection - how does getExperienceCloudId work?
  • If the call fails, is an ecid assigned some other way?
  • It looks like it is an async call - How does it impact our data collection for the first several analytics calls (lifecycle events) if the call times out or is delayed? Are the calls cached? Do they fail? something else?
