Enable profile without re-ingestion data

In AEP, I have a dataset without enable profile which is coming from Adobe Analytics and now I want to enable the dataset is there any method to skip the re-ingestion of the existing data. And want to know about the best way to data ingestion. My Approach is first step I will create a dataset without enable the dataset and after all testing data validation then I will delete that dataset, then will create a new dataset with enabled profile. Feel free to offer me a few suggestions.

    Yes, your approach is correct, but if you are using Adobe Analytics source connector then you can't skip the reingestion because backfill data will not flow to profile store, that you have to manually reingest anyway.
