Does AEP Web SDK deployment support Analytics For Target (A4T) reporting in Adobe Analytics workspace

Hello Experts,

Hope everyone is doing well!

We are currently running business-as-usual with Adobe Analytics and Target through Launch TMS. Our business and marketing teams run several Target activities and utilize A4T reporting on AA Workspace.

We are now planning to deploy AEP Web SDK. So, I want to check if A4T is supported or not. Also, if there are any observations or repercussions after deploying Web SDK, please feel free to highlight.

Thank you!

Hi @kishore_reddy

Yes, AEP Web SDK supports A4T implementation.

There are some steps you need to follow to have the correct integration AEP Web SDK with A4T is in place.

Step 1: Request provisioning for Analytics and Target

Before you implement A4T, you must be provisioned for Analytics and Target. Use this form to request to be provisioned.

Step 2: Set up user permissions

User account requirements must be met before you can create an activity based on Analytics in Target. See User permission requirements.

Step 3: Create an Edge configuration

Create an Edge configuration using Adobe Experience Platform using the edge configuration tool. Configure the Analytics and Target edge configuration settings.

Step 4: Install and configure the Platform Web SDK

To start delivering Target experiences and to apply Analytics for tracking and analysis purposes, Install and configure the Platform Web SDK on your site pages.

Step 5: Enable the options for using A4T

In the Target UI, click Administration > Visual Experience Composer, then choose either Select per activity or Adobe Analytics.

  • Select per activity lets you choose between Target and Analytics when creating each activity.
  • Adobe Analytics sets Analytics as the reporting source for all activities that you create.

We've implemented this setup for my client as seems no issues at all in terms of data.

For more information you can follow below guide.

Hope this helps.
