Create Segment: Abandon Cart

Avatar

Level 2

Hi!

Using Adobe Experience Platform with data coming from Adobe Commerce

We are looking to create a segment for Cart Abandons using the segment Builder

The documentation suggests that cartAbandons is measured:  https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-platform/edge/data-collection/collect-commerce-da...

However, is there an event or mechanism that can be used to create a segment (using Segment Builder)?

@tgoodman_mediamonks @Manoj_Kumar_ FYI,

  1. You don't have to specify the Event Type when using a specify Event Type cards (anything but the "Any" event type card).  It will add it automatically.
  2. There is also Purchases available as a Event Type.  It is worth checking out which to use (Checkout vs Purchases).  You probably want Purchase.

https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-platform/xdm/data-types/commerce.html?lang=en

checkoutsMeasureAn action during the checkout process of a product list. There can be more than one checkout event if there are multiple steps in a checkout process. If there are multiple steps, the event time information and referenced page or experience is used to identify the step and individual events represented in order.
purchasesMeasureUsed to track when an order has been accepted. The purchase event is the only required action in a commerce conversion. The purchase event must have a product list referenced.

Hello @tgoodman_mediamonks

You can use the "add to list" and "checkout" events. Something like "Add to cart" exists but a "checkout" event does not exist after a specific duration.

Thanks!

Can you show an expanded view of the checkout exclusion rule?

I'm keen to see how you did that
