CJA - Re-use a Data View to another Connection

Hi,

We have a Dataview with a few dozen custom fields (including Derived Fields and Lookup). Currently this Dataview is based on a CJA Connection with Datasets (an event dataset plus a few lookup datasets) in the development Sandbox.

We are planning to migrate to the production Sandbox (Prod). Schemas can be moved to Prod with Sandbox Tooling. Re-creating the CJA Connection for the datasets in Prod is easy, but Dataview seems challenging.

Would like to seek advise on how to replicate a Dataview in this scenario?

Thanks,

John

Hi John,

You can simply create a copy of existing data view in CJA (by selecting copy from 3 dots next to data view name)  and then change the connection of the copied data view to point to prod connection. As long as you are maintaining the schema and connection setting same, this will work fine.

Abhishek
