Changes in data over time, late arriving hits?

Avatar

Level 2

Adobe Data seems to inflate over time:  We had 753,919 Mobile visits for April 20 to 26, data pulled on April 30th.  Pulled today, (May 29)  we have 756,468 visits.

We have late arriving hits enabled.

Same report in Workspace, just refreshed a month later.  Is this a 'late arriving hits' issue?  Documentation says late arriving hits that arrive after 5 days are ignored.

Does anyone have experience with this?  Are you confident that it works as advertised?

@MarkVictoria  One possible reason could be that you're also tracking offline user activity, which can easily account for a 0.34% shift in visit numbers.

If you're using AEP, you can investigate this by comparing the hit timestamp with the record createtimestamp in the platform.
