Azure Blob Destination - ACTBTC-2400-400 - This request is not authorized to perform this operation

Avatar

Level 3

We are attempting to do a segment export to an Azure Blob destination. We are able to get a successful connection when entering the Connection String, but receive the following error.

ACTBTC-2400-400
An error has occurred when exporting data to the destination. Unable to perform the data export with the parameters flowId=08b31e06-d229-4494-a2e0-eca6eccc4c41 segmentId=ups:0f7cdaf6-e584-4edc-b94a-a1c3c6359e3a flowRunId=a60d67cb-7b7a-4d9c-a4c5-33be7d77b9d0. The error message returned by the destination is hadoop_azure_shaded.com.microsoft.azure.storage.StorageException: This request is not authorized to perform this operation.. Please verify that you have sufficient storage space in the destination.

Destination IP Whitelist

I am assuming that in order to use this Azure Blob destination the Destination IP address needs to be whitelisted - is this correct? And would this be the error that we receive if this whitelisting has not been put into place?

Permissions issue

The error reads as though it is a permissions issue. How would you go about granting proper permissions in the Azure Blob for this AEP connection? What details about the connection might the engineer working on the blob need in order to accomplish this?

We are in the process of getting access to the client's logs in order to attempt to troubleshoot this. What would be the best way to track this down in their logs - will there be a failed call from the aforementioned Destination IP address?

Thanks in advance for taking a look - any insight into these details/questions would be much appreciated!

Cheers,

Michael

This error message is an indication the whitelist of IP addresses has not been granted for the storage location.

Adobe recommends that you add the following IP ranges to an allowlist prior to working with cloud storage destination connections. Failing to add your region-specific IP range to your allowlist may lead to errors or non-performance when using the cloud storage destination connection.
