Tracking on Windows 8.1

Hello there,

I've been working on analytics for our WinRT Windows 8 application using this : http://microsite.omniture.com/t2/help/en_US/sc/appmeasurement/winrt/index.html

Now, I've upgraded our application to 8.1 (because, that's one of our requirements for this release), and this tracking library no longer works - it can no longer parse the Appxmanifest and throws an exception. Is there any work around for this or will there be an update release of the library coming soon?

Thanks,

Max,

The 3.1 version of the WinRT library is fully compatible with Windows 8.1.  You can download it here.

Hi Johnny,

We understand, it took long to reply to your query however the work was under process at the back end.

Our engineering team reviewed this. They are working on a fix, which will be released in a new SDK on Developer Connection. Please be aware that Win 8.1 is still in beta, thus changes can be made that affect our SDK. We will try to resolve them as fast as possible.

We will keep you updated on any further development on the same.

Hi Gaurav,

Any update about the situation? The call:

ADMS_Measurement.StartSession()

still crashes on Windows 8.1 (it runs smoothly on Windows 8):

System.FormatException occurred in ADMS.Measurement.winmd "One of the identified items was in an invalid format."

Cheers
