Adobe Launch and Facebook Extension

Hi,

We migrated our Facebook pixel from GTM to Adobe Launch. We created a rule using the Facebook extension action type "send page view" (screen grab below)

What we noticed is, once the Launch rule was published, the pageview counts in facebook spiked significantly.

GTM tag was paused before Launch rule was published, so there shouldnt be any issues with the pixel firing twice.

We note that GTM configuration had "Fire Once per Page" option ticked, which we believe is replicated by "Core - Page Bottom" event in Launch.

What we are wondering is, has anyone else come across this issue? or have we missed a step in creating the rule?

Any thoughts/feedback is welcome.

Thanks.

Winston

Resolved by explicitly selecting the domains (i.e adding domains in the conditions) the pixel fires from.

Use Library Loaded (Page Top), don't use Page Bottom. You can test it. Under the network of browser developer tools, see that you open a page and send several requests to Facebook.

Hi Haran, Thank you for the feedback. We did configure the rule to fire on Page Top initially,. When we noticed the spike, we then changed to fire on Page bottom. Which did not appear to make any difference. We will try your suggestion again and see if we see any difference.
