xmpMM:History node under asset metadata

Hello,

I see a lot of nodes under asset metadata/xmpMM:History.

Why AEM extract this metadata from binary into nodes?

Can this affect performance if xmpMM:History contains 5000+ childs?

    This question is not in the docs. I will ask within the internal AEM team if anyone has thoughts about this. I will post back when i hear something.

      Any updates regarding the restriction of the number of nodes under xmpMM:History? Because of too many nodes, it is throwing a major issue in the AEM cloud migration report.
