Hi,
A workflow participant step is assigned to a user group. Each user in the group will receive a notification in their group. Once one of the participants(users in the group) has completed the workflow step. What will be the participant name/id, will it be the user that completed the activity, or will it be the user group? I want to know if it is possible to trace who completed the workflow step even in cases where the participant step is assigned to a group

So both 'event' and 'user' for the particular step of a workflow would be recorded here.
/etc/workflow/instances/<date folder>/model_<number>/history/<step num>
ex: /etc/workflow/instances/2015-03-06/model_1249690890127376/history/1425662878066

From the documentation of participant step. In my scenario the workflow step will always be assigned to a group
If you assign the step to an entire group, then when the workflow reaches this step all users in this group will have the action in their Workflow Inbox.
It seems that when the step gets assigned to a group, than the participants id/username its the user group name not the invididuals users ID that worked on the workflow step
For auditing purposes i need to capture the group name(which i know gets recorded) but also the individual user in the group that worked on the task. The question is its the invididual users username that actioned on teh workflow step stored somewhere as part of teh OOB functionality, in the instance where a workflow step is assigned to a group?
