will new aem update or patch will change the /etc/key of the server?

Hi all,

will there be any impact on /etc/key for future updates or patch? I am using the CryptoSupport Bundle for encrypting plain text and using the same key across all my servers and environments. I am just concerned if future update will have any impact on the key.

Ideally speaking it would not affect your /etc/key. However we always ask our customers to do a rigorous testing with any upgrades to avoid last minute surprises.

So if you find any problems with your testing, get in touch with customer support.
