Why PDF Asset displayed in AEM cannot be viewed in DAM without downloading it

I am curious to know why a PDF displayed in AEM cannot be viewed in DAM without downloading it. You can only view the first page in Asset details page. I would think since it is an Adobe PDF that you would be able to click through the pages of the document. Is that possible?

At present, you are correct, in AEM DAM View, you can only download it. If you embed it (the URL) in a site, then a browser can open it using a PDF plug-in.
