Video can't be added to dynamic media component

Issue Faced:

  • Video can't be added to dynamic media component.
  • Dynamic media component appears hidden when added to the page (visible in the content tree but not on the page).

Checked:

  • Confirmed that videos and related assets are published in 'video presets'.
  • Reviewed Image Preset.
  • Checked configuration for dynamic media.

Hi,

 

Are you saying that the component is on the page but it isn’t clickable because it’s not visually selectable? If that's the case, you can select it through the content tree using the wrench icon and then add the video there.

Are you saying that the component is on the page but it isn’t clickable because it’s not visually selectable? If that's the case, you can select it through the content tree using the wrench icon and then add the video there.

      @user13619 it should certainly be an issue with page policy.. allowed components.. did you check if you are using non proxy components instead of proxy components? Usually ootb components will be using hidden component groups..
