Versioning of CQ pages

Hey all,

Does anyone know what are the rules before a version is created of a page? I have not found any documentation so far as to when an automatic version is created

A version is created automatically in these cases:

• When a page is changed and activated
• When a page is deleted

Hey Jörg,

And thats exactly what I would like to have specified a bit more ! What is meant by changed?

For example:

- Changing page properties

- Adding a component from a parsys

- Deleting a component from a parsys

- Editing a component on a page (for example add a text to a text-image)

are ALL these actions seen as "page is changed" and will they create versions?

Yes, all these are considered "page is changed" but version will only get created when you activate a page after these changes.
