Use Adobe Experience Manager Essentials to transfer files?

Good afternoon,

 

Just wondering of AEM DAM can be used to transfer files to outside vendors? IE like a WeTransfer/Dropbox/Cloudinary or similar utilities.

 

Also, if there are any file size limitations.

Hi @rubenfi, the reality is that you are not "transferring" the assets; rather, you are allowing them to view and download the asset from its original source, in this case, AEM DAM. That being said, I don't think you have any problem with assets of those dimensions. Hi,

AEM Assets allows you to share assets (and optionally add download permissions) with any external user. This functionality is described here: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-manager-cloud-service/content/assets/manage/share-assets 

 

Another option available to you is to take advantage of the robust system of groups and users that can be utilized to grant access to limited portions of the DAM. This way, you can definitively narrow the scope to allow external users to download or view your assets in a safe and controlled manner.

    Thanks Esteban for the quick response.

     

    Noticed on that link message of admin may be able to set the size limitations to file/link/assets past 100mb. We often send files 1 to 2 gb. These files go to our printer vendors. Not often, but it does happen. Is AEM capable of sending large files?
