Unique article authors

Hi,

The content authors will be creating articles. The articles will be taged with an Author tag. The Author is a person who is not a CQ user neither belongs to the content authors group. How can i uniquely identify an author? Will using a UUID and creating a tag with the UUID be the best option, or using a name and ansuring that each Author name+surname is unique be more appropriate?

How about email id or twitter handle?.I feel email ids or twitter handles will be unique enough and meaningful than a UUID.
