Learn AEM basics, component terminology and features that enable authoring of content on AEM platform.

Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), is a comprehensive content management solution for building websites, mobile apps, and forms. And it makes it easy to manage your marketing content and assets.
1. What is an AEM Template?
Templates are used to create a page; The template defines the structure of the resultant page, any initial content, and the components that can be used.

There are two types of templates:
Editable — Page Templates: These templates can be created and configured by authors.
Static — Page Templates: Will be defined and configured by AEM developers.

2. What is an AEM Component?
AEM components are used to author the content that is required to be rendered on the page. Components are dragged and dropped on pages and authored with relevant information.
cq:Page: Paragraph system key part of a website as it manages a list of paragraphs. It is used to hold and structure the individual components that hold the actual content.
