Hi @nviswanathareddy

To reproduce the issue, could you please provide some more information:

  1. Which environment you are facing this issue? Is it AEM 6.5 with any specific service pack such as AEM 6.5.8.0? Or is it on AEM as Cloud?
  2. Also you are facing this issue with any OOTB template or any custom template that you have built?
  3. Any other information or steps to recreate the issue?

Thanks!

Hi @Asutosh_Jena_

  • in AEM 6.5, and Service Pack AEM 6.5.7.0
  • this problem is occurring with both Custom and OOTB Templates
  • Steps to Reproduce
    1. take any editable template custom or OOTB
    2. in structure add a child layout container to the root layout container
    3. then add components like header and footer to the child layout container
    4. now am unable to get delete or cut options for header or footer or the child layout container (for child layout container am able to get those options before adding the components but after adding the components am unable to get any options)

Thanks!

Hi @nviswanathareddy

I just followed the same steps as you have mentioned on AEM 6.5.7.0 instance by creating an empty page template on we-retail code base.

Added Layout Container inside the root container and added component into it. Able to delete component as well as layout container.

Could not find any issue as you mentioned.

Thanks!

@nviswanathareddy Can you check in the broswer console if there are any errors? Also check in error.log as well. I will suggest to try the same on a fresh AEM 6.5.7.0 instance with OOTB template and see if you are able to reproduce the issue. If you are not able to reproduce it, then it's definitely something with the custom code and we need to debug further.
