To detect whether the content on the Content fragment is updated or not

Hi experts could any one help me here. How we can detect whether content is updated or not in a content fragment by comparing the last published date with last modified date on content fragment properties. If modified date is greater than last published date then you can consider that content is updated recently by Docuvera.

Here the recently updated content from Docuvera will be ingested in AEM through Mulesoft. The main concern here is how can we detect whether content is updated or not in a content fragment by comparing the last published date with last modified date on content fragment properties.

Can a logic be added in sling model to detect this?
