Site structure in AEM

Hi,

I have a general question regarding setting up the sites structure in AEM. Is it necessary to have the Language Masters (language-masters) in the heirarchy or is it only required for sites having multiple countries?

Thanks

It depends on requirements , but prefer to create with language master so that in future if you want to scale then it will be easy . And you can hide/trim locale from URL for end user if single website is required .

Hello @nikitatailor24

In Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), the concept of "Language Masters" is typically used when you have a multi-lingual website, especially when you need to manage content for different languages and countries. The decision to include a "Language Masters" node in your site structure depends on your specific requirements.

Here's a breakdown of when you might consider using "Language Masters":

1. Single Language Site: If your website is in a single language and does not have different language versions or country-specific content, you may not need a dedicated "Language Masters" node. You can organize your content directly under the site root.

2.Multi-Lingual Site: If your site is available in multiple languages, it's common to use "Language Masters" to organize content. Each language may have its own subtree under "Language Masters," and this structure makes it easier to manage translations and language-specific content variations.

For multi-lingual or multi-country sites with language variations, using "Language Masters" can help streamline content management and translation workflows.
