Scene7 video player issue - videos are not playing within 562px containers

We are facing one weird issue with Scene7 video player vs Chrome browser, the videos are not playing in Chrome if we author them within 562px containers i.e. custom row component or wrapper. We don't see any issues with videos if we are authoring them within large containers (562px or above width containers). Please refer the attached screenshot and really appreciated if anyone can share the solution asap. Thanks much!

@Mohan,

A few follow up questions:

  1. Are you testing video player in any device with chrome browser?
  2. If you are not testing in device, is there any error in browser console?

My initial observation is that tapping event isn't working in the video player icon (arrow). Generally, this issue occurs in the IOS device.

Hi

As mentioned by Jitendra, please have a look at chrome console error to better Debug/understand the problem.

Some Trouble Shooting

1. Clear cookies and empty the cache.

2. Try using Incognito.

3. Go to Settings, System in Chrome and then un-checking 'Use hardware acceleration when available'.

4. Try this :- https://vimeo.com/forums/help/topic:101255

I hope this would help you.

Thanks and Regards

Hi Jitendra,

We are observing this issue with Chrome browser in desktop only and especially if we author the video player size being less than 562px.

(Note: The videos are playing fine in other browsers like FF, IE and all the mobile devices with Chrome browser)

Attached one more screenshot from Firefox for more reference.

Hi Kautuk,

Thanks for the feedback. We already tried the same steps few weeks back and anyway i just tried the above steps again, but no help. The same size of videos are playing fine with other browsers and devices, attached one healthy screenshot from Firefox for your reference. Looks like UI related issue with Chrome vs Scene7 SDK, please guide me further to resolve that issue.

Hey Mohan,

It is strange. Have you found any javascript error in chrome console?. It is my wild guess that If Video player works in small devices & other browsers, then it must be related to your container.

Here is one google doc which suggests some step. But how would these step be applied for end users not very sure. Just give a try.
