revert changes
In AEM 6+ is there an ability to revert the page to the previous version when the page is open and author wants to reset to the beginning? As in revert to a previous version when changes/errors occur without using versions?

You can use the undo functionality, which is a clientside feature in the editor. It let's you undo all the changes you have done since you have opened the page in the editmode. When you close the browser window/tab and reopen it again, this undo history is lost.
