Repository not reducing even after deleting lot of dam assets

I have a lot of Assets in DAM under different folders. (I am using CQ5.6.1)

My server has reached threshold level((150 GBs), I want to reduce the space taken by repository.

I deleted all asset folders leaving just 10GB , however my repository size has not reduced in line with that.

It is one of our lower environments hence there are no scheduled housekeeping jobs or anything as such.

Why is so?, what do I have to do to bring repository down?

You might have to explore other troubleshooting options as well:

• Running garbage collection from console
• Run Repository consistency check
• If it is possible, restart the instance

Yo can do workflow purge, tar PM index merge,Tar PM, tar PM index merge,datastore GC this would help you.
