While building AEM content pages and components, as a developer, it's best practice to use relative paths (for local AEM JCR paths) than absolute paths for benefits listed in this blog: https://moz.com/blog/relative-vs-absolute-urls-whiteboard-friday

Use: /notting-hill-escorts.html

Don't use unless needed (external paths): https://www.adobe.com/notting-hill-escorts.html

As Brian mentioned, always use relative paths.. If external paths, it makes sense to use a absolute, but if internal, relative is your best bet.
