Redirect installation directory for aem desktop

How to redirect aem desktop 2.3.0 version installation directory as it is getting installed in local appdata folder by default?

Hi, 

According to the documentation, you can change only the "cache directory" but not where this is being installed, see here: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-desktop-app/using/install-upgrade.html?la... . Keep in mind that sometimes programs can be designed to work properly only in the default location.

 

However, you can change the "APPDATA" environment variable in Windows to redirect the "AppData" folder to a different location. Not recommended, but it's an option if you're confident in what you're doing. This may have unintended side effects and is not recommended if you're not familiar with managing environment variables.
