Peronalization on AEM 6.4 Editable Template

Hi All,

I am using AEM personalization feature in order to target content for specific users.

My question is how do we enable content targeting on the Editable templates i.e. when we go to the template editor(aem/start.html -> Tools -> General -> Templates) where we author the initial content and template policies.

My target is to author a header/footer component on the initial content of the editable template and target the content from there itself.

Confirmed with the AEM team - , you can only target components

You cannot target an editable template. However, like any other AEM components - you can target a header and footer, etc component located in a page that is based on an editable template.
