Pattern Detector not working in 6.4

While planning to upgrade from 6.4 to 6.5, I decided to install the pattern detector package but I can't find it under system/console/configMgr > status but when I install it on a 6.5 instance, I am able to see it. Is there something I need to do to make this active in 6.4?

No need of extra configurations to make it active.
you sure that you download pattern detector of 6.5 to install in 6.4? and was the download from software distribution portal?

    Yes, here is the download link I used. It works on a 6.5 I have but doesn't work on the 6.4 version of AEM.
