Online and Offline revision cleanup failing

Hi,

 

We are using AEM 6.5.11 and our online revision cleanup is failing for quite some time and as a result segment store size has increased to 1178%.

We also tried running offline compaction but it was running for more than 36 hours and we have to kill the process as we have to get the system back.

Can you please suggest what should we do to reduce the repository size as it is growing exponentially now.

Please contact Support team or the AMS team. They might suggest restoring AEM instance from a previous healthy backup.

 

Also, for offline revision clean up, please assure enough disk space is available https://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/kb/offline-revision-cleanup-breaking-the-repository-in-ca... 

Is it possible to clone the repo, execute offline revision clean-up and once the system is available, switch it back?
